Automotive CRC Research Scholarship - Human Machine Interface (HMI) and Human FactorsPublished: 29 April 2009 The Monash University Accident Research Centre (MUARC) is a world leader in injury prevention research and fosters scientific advancement of the field through its high quality postgraduate training program. Funded through the Cooperative Research Centre for Advanced Automotive Technology, MUARC is offering a postgraduate scholarship to encourage research in the area of in-vehicle technologies. The successful applicant will undertake their studies within the human factors team at MUARC. A stipend of $28,000 p.a. for three years is offered. The successful candidate will be expected to conduct human factors research into the safety benefits associated with implementation of semi-autonomous Advanced Driver Assistance Systems. Applicants should hold an honours degree in psychology, ergonomics, human factors, or a related discipline, preferably at first class honours level or equivalent.
