DIISR Malcolm McIntosh Prize for Life Scientist of the Year 2009Published: 8 April 2009 The Department of Industry, Innovation, Science and Research Malcolm McIntosh Prize for Life Scientist of the Year and Science Minister's Prize for Life Scientist of the Year are awarded to scientists who are thirty-five years of age or younger, and are designed to both honour excellent research and to highlight that our early-stage career scientists are producing world-class research. These awards each comprise a silver medallion and a grant of $50,000. The awards are provided to scientists at an early stage in their careers. To be eligible in 2009, nominees must have completed their PhD within the past 10 years, and the date of the nominee's testamur must be on or later than 7 May 1999.
