Spirituality in the Workplace Staff Breakfast - Clayton campus

Published: 25 March 2009

Who is my neighbour? is the theme of our first Spirituality in the Workplace Breakfast for 2009. Michael Fagenblat, lecturer in Jewish Civilisation in the School of Historical Studies will be our guest for the morning. Currently teaching rabbinic literature and Maimonides' philosophy, Michael's research and writing interests concentrate on modern Jewish and Western thought. He recently completed a major article for inclusion in a Jewish-Christian annotated Bible on the theme of 'neighbour', based on the parable of the Good Samaritan in Luke's Gospel. During the breakfast we will first discuss together the idea of being a neighbour today, followed by Michael's reflections on this central spiritual theme. Cost is $10 including a light continental breakfast. RSVP essential by Friday 27 March to judy.bowman@adm.monash.edu.au.
