Conservation will always win out over technology for reduction of greenhouse gas emissions - ClaytonPublished: 18 March 2009 The government, businesses and communities grapple with the enormous challenge of climate change. There are two schools of thought on the possible solutions. On one hand, technological advances have been the solution to many of the serious issues society has faced and it is hoped that they will resolve our current climate change crisis. On the other, they are seen too long term and it will be too late as action is required now. Conservation and reversing society's enormous thirst for carbon emitting resources is seen as the immediate priority by many. This debate will explore the issues and challenge our thinking on this important issue and will be facilitated by George Negus, Presenter, ‘'Dateline'.
