'Closing the Gap 1994-2009: The Story so far in Indigenous Health'

This evening will reflect on the progress, policies, lessons and human stories of the past 15 years in Indigenous health and look to the future, as guided by those who have previously addressed a MCME.

Speakers include:

Dr Brendan Nelson - former GP and President of the Australian Medical Assoc and leader of the Parliamentary Liberal Party.

Dr Louis Peachey - Fellow of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine, Medical Educator and Researcher who was the founding President of the Australian Indigenous Doctors' Assoc.

Dr Ngiare Brown - One of the first Aboriginal medical graduates, who has worked in acute care and primary health medical education, research and policy, including as the Indigenous Health Advisor to the Federal AMA and Foundation CEO of the Australian Indigenous Doctors' Association.
