Royal Society of Victoria Medal for Scientific Research 2009Published: 18 March 2009 The Royal Society of Victoria Medal for Scientific Research 2009 - Category 1 - Biological Sciences (Non-Human); Agriculture, Biochemistry, Botany, Forestry, Animal and Plant Physiology, Zoology, and related non-human sciences. Nominations should be in the hands of the Executive Officer, The Royal Society of Victoria, 9 Victoria Street, Melbourne 3000 before 31 March 2009. The work shall be carried out in Australia, with preference for work done in Victoria. Scientific Societies, Universities, CSIRO, and Members of The Royal Society of Victoria have the right to make nominations though the Council need not be limited by these nominations. The person/s receiving the award may be required to address The Society, in which case expenses shall be allowed. In order to assist the Selection Committee, The Society requires that each nominator supplies a written statement which summarises the significance of the research, and its breadth and quality.
