Participants wanted for study on attention in ageing and depression

Published: 11 March 2009

We are investigating how we selectively attend to certain visual events and not others and how the efficiency of the mechanisms of attention are compromised by depression or lowered mood and aging.

Eligibility:

  • Aged 18-30 years or 65 years and over
  • Have never had a stroke, epilepsy, head injury or psychiatric disorder
  • With or without depression or lowered mood

Participation involves completing a number of short confidential questionnaires, providing us with some information about your health and physical status, and two testing sessions in which a number of computer tasks will be completed. This may require up to four hours but can be spread across two or more separate sessions. Participants will be reimbursed for their time.
