Healthy adult volunteers required for walking study

Published: 25 February 2009

We are currently seeking healthy adults aged 49 and over to take part in a walking study at the Kingston Centre gait lab in Cheltenham. Our Aim is to develop a database of the normal walking patterns of adults in Victoria.

In Collaboration with the Center for Clinical Excellence in Gait Analysis and Gait Rehabilitation, this information will also be used to create a worldwide database of normal walking.

The reason we need this information is to help us understand how disease and disability change the way people walk. The walking analysis is completely safe and generally takes between 30 minutes to two hours depending of the mode of testing that is required.

Participants involved are able to observe 'state of the art' equipment similar to that used in 3D animation as well as being involved in important research. Please contact us for more information.
