Hemianopia and driving study

Monash University Accident Research Centre is conducting new research on visual field loss and driving. We are looking for people with hemianopia or quadrantanopia to take part in this study. Participants will be asked to visit the Accident Research Centre (Clayton campus). Transport will be provided to and from the centre where required. Sessions can be arranged at most times during or after business hours.

Participants will be asked to:

  • Complete a questionnaire (on medical and driving history)
  • Do some vision, memory and attention tasks
  • Look at some images on a computer

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Hemianopia or quadrantanopia (visual field loss)
  • Field loss must have been present for 6 months or longer
  • Must have held a driving licence at some point (either current or prior to field loss)
