CAST recognised at B-HERT Awards

Monash researchers Chris Davies, Colleen Bettles, Mark Easton, Su-Ming Zhu, Jian-Feng Nie and Trevor Abbott (AMT) from the CAST Co-operative Research Centre have received an honourable mention in the 2008 Business/Higher Education Round Table (B-HERT) Awards for their working on magnesium alloy development.

The project has involved developing new magnesium alloys for a range of uses, such as lighter cars, greater fuel efficiency and cheaper materials for consumer goods such as electronics.

Monash also collaborated with researchers from CSIRO, Deakin and UQ on this project for the CAST CRC.
