Oestrogen Cognition Study

We are looking at the effect of oestrogen in preserving memory. Our study will be run over six months and involves taking an oral hormone replacement therapy or placebo for this period. Cognition (memory) testing will be performed during the study and a functional MRI scan will be performed at the beginning and the end.

Eligibility:

  • healthy, right handed females between the ages of 45-55
  • Post-menopausal, not using any hormone therapy and can take an oral oestrogen.
