Usability of horizontal and vertical scrolling for reading on-line text

The Clayton School of IT is conducting research in online scrolling. This study aims to explore how people read on-line text in a vertical scrolling environment in comparison to horizontal scrolling layout using an Eye Tracker device. The device itself is not invasive in any way.

To be eligible, participants should:

  • Not wear glasses, however contact lenses are ok.
  • Be available either on a Monday or a Friday at the Clayton campus.

The session will last approximately one hour. All participants will be reimbursed $20.
