Drowsy driving behaviour in the simulator

Published: 15 October 2008

The Monash University Accident Research Centre (MUARC) is conducting research into driver drowsiness. Aspects of driving performance will be tested in the Advanced Driving Simulator on Clayton campus.

To be eligible, participants should:

  • be aged between 21 and 59 years
  • hold a current full Victorian drivers license
  • be willing to go for a night without sleep.

People who are shift workers, or have sleeping problems, are not eligible to participate.

There will be two experimental sessions, lasting about two hours each. All participants will be reimbursed $200 for their participation.

We will be testing people in pairs. If you and a friend or family member are interested in participating (or for more information), contact Amy Williamson on +61 3 9902 0198, or email amy.williamson@muarc.monash.edu.au.
