2009 EA Medical Students' Conference -- Monash University

Published: 24 September 2008

Monash University and the Asian Medical Students' Association are excited to be hosting the 22nd Annual 2009 EA Medical Students' Conference. A first for Monash University, this prestigious event will be a true cross-campus affair involving medical students from all five years at the Clayton, Gippsland and Sunway campus in Malaysia.

The wholly student-organised and run international conference will be held on our Sunway campus in Malaysia from 7 to 11 January, 2009.

With the theme Engaging Asia-Pacific Youth in the Fight Against HIV/AIDS, this conference will prove to be a major capacity building event; empowering and up-skilling over 320 soon-to-be doctors. With workshops from the Global Health Network, Ignite, Y-Peer and more these students will return home to their communities across 23 nations as HIV/AIDS ambassadors.

So whether you attend, or watch the conference through live telecast at Monash's Clayton campus, be sure to get involved and engage with us, in the fight against HIV/AIDs.
