Monash and Sichuan University announce funding to promote closer research ties

Monash University and Sichuan University (SCU) researchers are invited to submit proposals for joint research under the Monash-SCU Strategic Funding Initiative.

The new initiative contributes seed funding of up to a maximum of $32,000 that will cover travel, living and hosting expenses involved in organising joint planning meetings and workshops. Project funding will be for one year and allocated through a competitive selection process. It primarily supports joint-activities that will likely lead to external funding and increase HDR students. Industrial engagement is also encouraged.

Proposals must be submitted by COB, Friday 10 October 2008.
