The effects of dietary fibre

Volunteers needed for an innovative study into the effects of different amounts of dietary fibre on bowel habit and faecal parameters in healthy controls and inactive ulcerative colitis.

Participants will be asked to complete a food and symptom diary, to take fibre supplements and to perform a faecal collection. Total duration five weeks.

Eligibility: Healthy controls and people with inactive ulcerative colitis. Ages 18-80 and not taking sulfasalazine, antibiotics or topical treatments
