Monash e-Research Centre (MeRC) e-xpo Week -- ClaytonPublished: 13 August2008 Everyone is welcome to come along to the exhibition and seminar series of Monash e-Research Centre (MeRC) e-XPO Week. Exhibition: The exhibition will showcase and include full demonstrations of MeRC's innovative and practical ICT solutions for researchers, and for research collaboration. Also on display, MeRC posters and a selection of student posters. MeRC supports researchers by harnessing the resources and capacities of the IT Services Division, the Library and computer scientists in the Faculty of Information Technology to create and deliver ICT services that enhance research capability. This exhibition will be held be in The Atrium -- the large public foyer area of the STRIP building at Clayton campus. Plenty of room for everyone. E-Research is becoming an increasingly utilised form of 'real-time' research in which huge data sets are opening up new areas of research potential. With massive data storage capacity possible from Monash LARDS, and simultaneous links to various national and international grid networks, virtual labs (environments) and visualisation techniques for collaborating research partners are now a reality. The technology also enables fast research outputs.
