New student accommodation guide

Consumer Affairs Victoria in collaboration with Monash Residential Services has developed a DVD designed to assist university students to find accommodation.

The 30 minute Renting in Victoria DVD provides helpful information for students on a range of issues including student housing options, on-campus housing, tenancy applications and agreements, housing condition reports, repairs, and ending a tenancy.

The DVD can be played in 10 languages -- English, Hindi, Indonesia, Japanese, Korean, Malay, Mandarin, Urdu, Thai and Vietnamese. The DVD will be distributed through Victorian educational institutions including secondary schools, tertiary institutions, English language schools, libraries and student associations, including the libraries and associations at Monash University.
