Walking in other people's shoes -- Crossing the Academic/Commercial divide -- Clayton

Kiki Tanousis, Director of Business Strategy from Interface Innovation, will present an informal and practical discussion on the challenges faced bringing Commercial philosophies to an Academic environment.

His experience with board level and shareholder interests in a number of SMEs in the UK, most recently as Managing Director of a highly successful joinery firm, Kiki's entrepreneurial career began while an undergraduate at the London School of Economics, when he started his London property firm.

In tandem with his business interests, he pursued a medical research career, topping his year at University College London, gaining a PhD at the MRC -- National Institute for Medical Research (London, UK), and holding a post-doctoral fellowship at the Imperial Cancer Research Fund, also in London.
