Measuring Crash Risk in Male DriversPublished: 6 August 2008 Research is being undertaken to identify some of the characteristics of young male drivers that place them at a high risk of crashing. In this research, a number of different factors will be considered that have been linked to crash risk. You will be asked to undertake a number of assessments to measure visual attention, aspects of thinking skills, and personality. This will involve a few thinking tasks, a questionnaire on driving behaviour, and a computer-based test of attention. The questionnaires will ask about your demographics, and driving experience -- including crash and infringement history. Together, the tasks take approximately 70 minutes to complete. Eligibility: Male drivers on their P-plates between the ages of 18-21, and male full licensees between the ages of 21-25. For further information please contact: |
