Workshop G: Introduction to program evaluation -- Law chambers, Melbourne

The Centre for Medical and Health Sciences Education (CMHSE) is now offering a range of staff development workshops for clinical teachers from all areas of health professional education. These objective driven, practically orientated workshops are based on topics that teachers have indicated are important and relevant in today's complex teaching environment.

This workshop will provide participants with a basic practical introduction to evaluating educational programs. Participants will explore:

  • different approaches to program evaluation design, with an emphasis on tailoring strategies to fit particular evaluation objectives
  • development of evaluation instruments and pro-formas
  • different methods for analysing and presenting evaluation data
  • incorporating evaluation results into further program development.
