Workshop K: Dealing with poor performance -- Clayton

The Centre for Medical and Health Sciences Education (CMHSE) is now offering a range of staff development workshops for clinical teachers from all areas of health professional education.

The issue of poor performance in health professionals is a challenge to both healthcare and educational organisations. This workshop is focused on assisting educators/supervisors to identify poor performance in students/trainees and the factors that may contribute to poor performance.

The workshop will take participants through a range of practical action steps that can be used for remediation and monitoring of progress and will help educators/supervisors to deal with performance issues in a professional and compassionate way.
