Poetry and the Trace: An International Conference -- Melbourne

Hosted by Monash University, the conference will include academic papers, as well as readings by a number of leading Australian and international poets.

Keynote speakers include: Susan Stewart, Lionel Fogarty, Joan Retallack, John Kinsella, Rachel Blau DuPlessis.

In addition to the formal conference program, there will be two poetry readings open to the public, free of charge:

Monday 14 July, 2008 from 6 pm to 7.30 pm -- Lionel Fogarty, Rachel Blau DuPlessis, Susan Stewart, Joan Retallack and John Kinsella.

Wednesday 16 July, 2008 from 5.15 pm to 7 pm -- Gig Ryan, Pam Brown, Javant Biarujia, PiO and Claire Gaskin.
