CMHSE Workshop P: Teaching culturally diverse groups - ClaytonPublished: 4 June 2008 The Centre for Medical and Health Sciences Education (CMHSE) is now offering a range of staff development workshops for clinical teachers from all areas of health professional education. These objective driven, practically orientated workshops are based on topics that teachers have indicated are important and relevant in today’s complex teaching environment. The next available workshop will be Workshop P: Teaching culturally diverse groups. Time: 5.00 pm to 8.00 pm This workshop outlines some of the language and cultural factors affecting clinical teaching and learning in multicultural groups, and introduces practical strategies for teaching students from non-English speaking language backgrounds. Principles and approaches learned in this workshop can be applied more widely to a range of teaching contexts. The workshop focuses on:
