Men and Religion, Online and Open Access

Joseph Gelfer, Honorary Research Associate at the School of Political and Social Inquiry, has published a new edition of Journal of Men, Masculinities and Spirituality.

The latest issue contains articles focusing on how:

  • religion assisted in negotiating a crisis of postwar German masculinity
  • silence can be a positive aspect in a spirituality of fatherhood
  • men’s approach to grief and spirituality can be understood via Shakespeare’s Hamlet
  • macho masculinity functions within the biblical cinema of Cecil B. DeMille.
