Indian higher education: Negotiating the challenges of globalisation and the knowledge economy

Presenter: Professor Fazal Rizvi, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

Professor Rizvi is professor of educational policy studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, having previously held a number of senior administrative and academic appointments in Australia. He has written widely on globalisation and education policy, internationalisation of higher education and issues of culture and identity in transnational contexts. He has recently spent a sabbatical as a visiting professor at the Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi, India.
