Workplace and Corporate Law Research Group Seminar

Professor O Lee Reed is Professor of Legal Studies and Robert W Scherer Chair of Public Policy at the Terry College of Business, University of Georgia. He is a Visiting Scholar in Monash University's Department of Business Law and Taxation in June 2008.

The Department of Business Law and Taxation presents the Workplace and Corporate Law Research Group Seminar. Why are some nations so wealthy and other nations so poor when, according to Nobel economist Douglass North, 500 years ago all the world was poor? This seminar examines a property-based legal system as the foundation for strong, diverse economies and the wealth of nations.
