2008 Vice-Chancellor's Award for Postgraduate Supervision

To coincide with the launch of Research Month, the 2008 Vice Chancellor's Award for Postgraduate Supervision will be presented in August this year.

This prestigious award celebrates the contributions that supervisors can make as teachers, colleagues and models of good practice in research and research supervision. The award consists of a medallion, a permanent citation on the Records and Archives website, and a grant of A$5000 to be used at the discretion of the award winner to benefit his or her postgraduate supervision.

The selection process will be managed by the Monash Research Graduate School and full details of the nomination process and eligibility criteria can be found on the MRGS website.

Staff and current research students are encouraged to consider appropriate nominees from within their faculty and nomination forms must be submitted by 5 pm, Monday, 26 May 2008. Queries relating to this process can be directed to Anna Lucas from MRGS anna.lucas@adm.monash.edu.au.
