Department of Business Law and Taxation Seminar - Caulfield

Published: 14 May 2008

Topic:  Education is what survives when what has been learned has been forgotten
Presenter:   Mr Abe Herzberg and Mr Phillip Lipton, Senior Lecturers, Department of Business Law and Taxation
Date: Wednesday, 21 May 2008
Time: 12 pm (duration approximately one-and-a-half hours, including lunch)
Venue: Caulfield campus, Clayfield Room, Building A, Room 1.34

Mr Herzberg and Mr Lipton will present their work and explain how this resource may be used within a course. The integration of the textbook and website enables the adoption of a constructivist approach to student learning, enabling the individual student to take the driver’s seat and become an active participant in the learning process. The website is a one stop shop containing a comprehensive collection of linked internet resources pertaining to corporate law which is cross referenced to the textbook.

This package clearly signals that the discipline content is not restricted to the contents of the text and enables students to focus at least in part on complex legal concepts and critical thinking in areas of their own choosing.
