The Future of Israel: Three Scenarios -- Caulfield

Published: 14 May 2008

What will become of the State of Israel? Of all the members of the global community, Israel's future seems the most doubtful, as numerous critics still challenge its very right to exist. Taking the complex realities of present-day Israel as a starting point, this oration will explore three different scenarios for the future: will Israel cede its liberal democratic character, cease to exist as a Jewish state, or avoid both possibilities and accomplish peace in its present constitutional format?
