Open Climate Change workshop -- Clayton

Published: 14 May 2008

An open workshop on climate change is being held this month by the Monash Future Council, an inter-faculty forum of experts who share a common concern for safeguarding the future in the face of contemporary global challenges. All staff with similar concerns are welcome to join.

Professor Dave Griggs, Director of the Monash Sustainability Institute, will start the workshop by providing an overview of the most immediate challenges our society must face as a result of climate change and will identify some ways in which academics across all disciplines may contribute to a solution. This will lead on to a general discussion with active audience participation on how to achieve inter-disciplinary collaboration and public engagement toward the development of more successful climate change mitigation and adaptation policies.

Time: 2 to 4 pm
Date: Thursday, 29 May 2008
Venue: Elizabeth Burchill Room, Ground Floor, Building 68, Performing Arts Precinct
