Cultural values as moderators of organisational outcomes

Published: 14 May 2008

Have you ever thought that your cultural values can have an impact on your work? What are the cultural values that are influencing your work and how will cultural values impact on your work?

We are conducting a research to investigate the role of cultural values on specific work outcomes, including organisational commitment, organisational citizenship behaviour, social support and occupational stress.

The potential benefits of the study include:

  • understanding the extent to which cultural value affects the relationship between organisational commitment and organisational citizenship behaviour.
  • developing training and education modules that are culturally sensitive to individual’s preferences for support and in turn reduces the impact of occupational stress.

This study will require participants to complete a questionnaire about their perceived cultural values and how these values impact organisational outcomes.

Eligibility: Academic and General Monash University staff across all campuses and faculties.
