Young driver safety study (seeking male drivers)

Published: 30 April 2008

The Monash University Accident Research Centre (MUARC) is conducting research into young driver safety. Aspects of driving performance will be tested in the Advanced Driving Simulator. Some participants will also be invited to attend a facilitated group discussion on road safety issues.

The current study will examine the effect of driving with a friend in the vehicle. We are therefore interested in recruiting pairs of friends as participants.

To be eligible, participants should:

  • Be a male driver, aged between 18 and 21 years
  • Hold a current probationary driver's licence

Your participation will not exceed 3 hours. All participants will be reimbursed (at approximately $15 per hour) for their involvement.

If you would like to participate, or would like further information, please contact Charles Liu: Charles.Liu@muarc.monash.edu.au.
