Depression relapse prevention study: Depression Awareness Recovery Effectiveness (DARE)

This NHMRC-funded study will examine whether depressive relapse can be prevented in people with recurrent depression by comparing mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) with usual treatment plus active symptom monitoring.

Inclusion criteria:

  • Aged 18-75 years
  • Fluent in English
  • At least three previous episodes of major depression
  • Not currently depressed

Participants can continue their usual treatment including antidepressant medication if prescribed.
