UniSuper seminar "Salary Sacrifice/Super Co-Contribution" - Clayton

Salary sacrifice is a popular and often tax-effective way of making extra contributions to your super. And if you are looking for a way to boost your retirement savings, the Government's Super Co-contribution scheme may help. This seminar will shed light on salary sacrifice /super co-contributions, member eligibility and the effect these contribution may have on your final retirement benefit. Many eligible members are still not taking advantage of the super co-contribution opportunity. If you make a personal after-tax contribution, and earn less than $58,980 per year, you may be entitled to receive some support from the government. Lower income earners will find this a useful investigation into the advantages of making after-tax contributions to your super.

  • How to build a bigger benefit and save on tax at the same time
  • Tips and traps to watch out for
  • Lots of practical examples, showing how salary sacrifice can work for members on different income levels
  • Eligibility for Co-contribution
  • How much is available and when it is paid
  • How co-contribution may impact the decision to salary sacrifice
  • What you need to do

This seminar may interest to all eligible staff members who are keen on building bigger benefits through salary sacrifice or super co-contribution.

Please note that registration is now essential. In the interest of sustainability, handouts will no longer be distributed on the day of the seminar. Instead, 2 days prior to the seminar, a reminder email with a web link to the seminar notes will be sent to staff members who have registered. Staff member registering on the closing date will not receive the reminder email, however, the web link for the seminar notes will be displayed on the registration confirmation page.
