Volunteers wanted for Uni Games

The 2008 Australian University Games are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join the large volunteer workforce needed to help deliver this successful event.

The benefits of volunteering are many and varied, not only do you get the opportunity to be involved with Australia’s largest annual multisport event, but you can also gain valuable industry experience working with a very competent team who value your input. As a volunteer for the 2008 Australian University Games, you can expect to receive:

  • A thorough induction and training program
  • FREE access to all social events and activities
  • Uniform and lunches during Games week
  • Volunteer thank you party

Key Volunteer Positions

These positions are required to work one day per week starting from April and June through to August (or 120+ hours) and during the event delivery period:

Administration Assistant x 3
Research Assistant x 2
Sport Assistant x 3
Results Assistant x 3
Sport Medicine Assistant x 2
Medal Ceremonies Assistant x 2
Catering Assistant x 1
Operations Assistant x 2
Transport Assistant x 2
Marketing Assistant x 2
Media Assistant x 2
Website Assistant x 2

Games Volunteers

There will also be other volunteer roles available in August and September in the following areas:

Administration, Accreditation, Journalism, Photography, Sport, Sports Medicine, Medal Ceremonies, Operations and Transport.
