Inactive Ulcerative Colitis study

Volunteers are needed for an innovative study into the effects of different amounts of dietary fibre on bowel habit and faecal parameters in healthy controls and inactive ulcerative colitis.

Eligibility:

  • Healthy controls and people with inactive ulcerative colitis
  • Ages 18-80
  • Not taking sulfasalazine, antibiotics or topical treatments
  • Participants will be asked to complete a food and symptom diary, to take fibre supplements and to perform a faecal collection.

All will receive a comprehensive dietary analysis.

Total duration 5 weeks.
