Ottawa International Conference on Clinical Competence (Ozzawa)

Melbourne's Convention Centre will host the largest conference on medical education ever held in Australia from March 5 to 8, 2008.

Sponsored by the Monash University, the University of Melbourne, and Deakin University, OZZAWA will include presentations from Michael Greco, who has been assisting the UK government to develop patient-based assessments of doctors, and Maxine Papadakis, whose work on medical professionalism links behaviour in medical school to performance of practicing physicians. The conference will also feature presentations on issues such as medical school selection, undergraduate and postgraduate curriculum reform and indigenous health education.
