Asia-Pacific Regulators' and Industry Dialogue: Private Pensions, Funds and Asset ManagementPublished: 27 February 2008 The Melbourne APEC Finance Centre at Monash University will discuss the findings from its research on current financial system regulatory arrangements in the areas of private pensions, funds and asset management at a seminar at the Park Hyatt Hotel, Melbourne on 5 – 6 March from 9am to 5pm. The dialogue will bring together regulators and experts from economies within the Asia-Pacific region including China, Indonesia, India, Japan, USA and Australia. It will also involve experts from relevant international organisations in the region and from the private sector. The dialogue will focus on the potential impacts on financial markets and on public finances, regulatory changes, governance and investment policies, industry and consumer responses, and emerging best practices in regulatory frameworks.
