The occasion is to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the publication of Burnet's paper on Clonal Selection Theory which explained the seemingly unlimited capacity of the immune system to generate unique antibodies against different pathogens and was to lead to his Nobel Prize.

This theory has had enormous impact internationally, both for the scientific and wider community.

Program

The Development and Testing of the Clonal Selection Theory
Guests: Professors Emeritus Gordon Ada, Frank Fenner and Sir Gustav Nossal.

Social consequence of the Clonal Selection Theory.
Guests: Nobel laureate Professor Peter Doherty, Professor Ian Frazer,
Sir Gustav Nossal and Dr Barry Jones.

Master of Ceremonies: Mr Phillip Adams.
