Public Forum - ClaytonPublished: 17 October 2007 Monday 22 October 2007, 6.30 pm Carillo Gantner Theatre, Sidney Myer Asia Centre, The University of Melbourne The occasion is to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the publication of Burnet's paper on Clonal Selection Theory which explained the seemingly unlimited capacity of the immune system to generate unique antibodies against different pathogens and was to lead to his Nobel Prize. This theory has had enormous impact internationally, both for the scientific and wider community.
