Baring the Basics workshop

2 November 2005

'Market Research for Business Plans'

Sourcing of funding and resources is reliant upon a well prepared business plan, and an important element of any successful plan is a comprehensive market and environmental analysis. Learn why, and how to go about finding the information you need, at the next Baring the Basics workshop.

When: Tuesday 8 November, 4 - 5.30 pm
Where: The STRIP Meeting Room, building 75, Clayton campus

During the workshop, Ms Gael Andrews, Monash Commercial's marketing manager, will provide an overview of marketing itself, why we do market research and where it fits in to planning, plus a general overview of what to consider and how to go about finding secondary data.

Professor Mike Ewing, head of research, Department of Marketing, will then draw on his own personal experience to discuss how research is successfully used in a commercial organisation, as well as how to source primary data. Professor Ewing previously held the position of marketing research manager for the Ford Motor Company in South Africa.

Reservations for this workshop are essential.
