Participants are needed for a Monash University breast cancer study2 November 2005 The Women's Health Program at Monash University, Alfred Hospital, is currently undertaking a questionnaire-based study called the ‘Health and Wellbeing after Breast Cancer Study'. The aim of the study is to highlight the important issues that affect a woman's quality of life soon after the diagnosis of breast cancer and through her treatment. No other study like this has been undertaken in Australia . To ensure the findings of this study broadly represent the needs of all women, every Victorian woman whose first diagnosis of breast cancer was within the past 12 months is invited to take part. Almost 800 women have already become involved. Results from this study will be used to improve the health and wellbeing of all women with breast cancer. Further information is available at www.afterbreastcancerstudy.org.au or by contacting 1800 034 348. |
