The Australian Synchrotron Research Program/Australian Synchrotron Users Workshop - First call for abstracts

The ASRP and the Australian Synchrotron are holding a joint users workshop and a one day X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy (XAS) Workshop.

When: Monday 5 December -- Wednesday 7 December
Where: University of Melbourne.

Registration is free, but essential.

The program will include:

  • Keynote speaker: Dr Bill Thomlinson, director, Canadian Light Source, presenting 'The future of biomedical research using synchrotron radiation'
  • User presentations on hot topics in Australian synchrotron science
  • ASRP and Australian Synchrotron updates
  • ASRP Medal presentation
  • A poster session
  • Australian Synchrotron site tour

A one-day XAS workshop will be held on Wednesday 7 December, immediately following the users workshop. It will include a hands-on EXAFS data analysis tutorial, as well as lectures on practical aspects of XAS. Numbers at this workshop are limited, so register early.
