CoolCampus Monash Mobility Workshop

5 October 2005

When: Monday 24 October, 9.30 am – 4 pm
Where: Building 72, Clayton campus and online at https://coolcampus.csse.monash.edu.au/

The theme of the workshop is Monash Mobility (connecting the Monash University community). The purpose of the CoolCampus Workshop is to bring together researchers, developers, and users with a focus on how mobile/pervasive/wireless technology can support and advance the academic activities and processes of a university.

We are building on the theme of Mobility within Monash 2025.

There will be contributions from s enior deputy vice-chancellor Professor Stephen Parker, Professor Phillip Steele (in his Campus Coordination) role, ITS, Faculty of Law, an Industry Sponsor (most likely Intel), Marratech Sweden and an academic contribution on Walkabout Learning.

There will also be a keynote talk from a speaker from University of Sydney on Sensor Networks (expected to be Albert Zomaya).

The workshop will have a strong "Distributed Collaboration" feel with all presentations being conducted on-line via Marratech as well as in building 72 in person, except for the Swedish speaker who is on-line only. We will also have people from Monash Malaysia coming on line as virtual attendees during the day.
