Graduate Certificate in Health Professional Education28 September 2005 The Graduate Certificate in Health Professional Education is now on offer at Monash University. The GCHPE is approved for probationary training for new academic staff in the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences. There is no charge for staff completing the GCHPE as a requirement of probation. Full details of this policy are available at http://www.adm.monash.edu.au/sss/handbook/public/1-7.html. The one-year part-time program will be run by the Centre for Medical and Health Sciences Education within the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences. If you teach undergraduate or postgraduate students in a medical or health care setting and want to improve your teaching, supervision or course development skills, the Graduate Certificate in Health Professional Education is for you. The course is practically orientated and will assist you to apply theory and best evidence to your educational role. Participants undertake four core units. All units are multidisciplinary and include study days on campus and work-based activities for you to complete at your own pace. Applications close on Thursday 17 November.
