Participants sought for baby sleep research3 August 2005 Are you or your partner expecting a baby? The Ritchie Centre for Baby Health Research is carrying out studies on the effects of swaddling (wrapping) babies on sleep and arousal and we are looking for volunteers and their healthy term babies. The studies are carried out at the Monash Medical Centre at three to four weeks and three months of age. We will attach leads to measure brain activity, breathing and heart rate, but none of these hurt your baby in any way. Studies take about five hours each and we offer a relaxing day with free babysitting together with loads of information about baby sleep! (We can even offer a nap for exhausted parents). Siblings are welcome and we are very flexible on study times, free parking is available too. For further information contact Dr Rosemary Horne, Ritchie Centre for Baby Health Research, on 9594 5100 or email rosemary.horne@med.monash.edu.au. |
