Monash University students at last year's Summer Vacation Employment and Internships Fair

Have you completed two or more years of your Monash University degree and looking towards future career opportunities?

If so, the Monash University Summer Vacation Employment and Internships Fair is the perfect opportunity to meet with employers across a wide range of industries.

Located at Monash Sport, Building 1 at the University's Clayton campus, the Summer Vacation Employment and Internships Fair will be open to Monash students between 1-4 pm on Thursday 5 August, 2010.

Students will have the opportunity to meet employers offering summer vacation employment, internships and co-operative years, learn about upcoming course-related work opportunities and ask employers about careers in their industry of interest.

"The Summer Vacation Employment and Internships Fair is a great opportunity for students to meet with employers to discuss work experience opportunities over the summer break," Monash University Employer Relations Consultant, Csilla Papp said.

"Completing vacation work or a placement is a big advantage as it allows students to learn more about career opportunities in their industry before they have graduated."

Some of the many firms present on the day will include Deloitte, Shell Australia, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Cisco Systems Australia, GHD Melbourne, L'Oreal, KPMG, Ernst and Young and BP Australia.

This event is for Monash students only, so ensure that you bring your Monash student ID card with you. To assist the organisers with numbers, you can also register on the Career Gateway website.

Participants may also wish to read hints and advice on how to make the most of the opportunity at the Preparing for the Careers Fair web page.

For further information, students should visit the Employment and Career Development website.
