Metropolis
The 12th International Metropolis Conference, hosted by Monash University and the Australian Multicultural Foundation from 8 - 12 October, was described by Vice-Chancellor Professor Richard Larkins as "fabulously successful" and Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Research, Professor Edwina Cornish, as "a triumph".

     
 

Lifting the Fog on Atoms
Scientists will be better able to 'see' the shapes of atoms thanks to a scientific breakthrough by Dr Philip Nakashima from the Department of Materials Engineering and Monash Centre for Electron Microscopy (MCEM).

A renowned emergency medicine academic will be a keynote speaker at the Department of Community Emergency Health and Paramedic Practice's short course on Emergency Preparedness and Disaster Health.
