Is litter just absolute rubbish or free advertising?
Is a discarded cigarette packet in a gutter, a fast food wrapper on a footpath, or a broken beer bottle at the beach just litter? Alternatively, could litter be considered a form of advertising?

     
 

Cross-campus Staff Mobility program
For a number of Monash staff, the coming months will see them "up-stakes" and travel cross-city and cross-continents as part of the Cross-campus Staff Mobility program.

Major finding on hormone disorder in women
Medical researchers from Monash University and the Jean Hailes Foundation for Women's Health have made a significant breakthrough in the treatment of a common condition affecting up to 10 per cent of women of reproductive age.

Balanced life, better health
Australian cricket personality, Merv Hughes, will visit the university next month at the launch of 'Lads and Dads', an initiative educating male staff on how to better balance their work and personal responsibilities.

     
 

Students connect for the Year of the Pig
Tai Chi, Calligraphy, Karaoke, Mahjong and Chinese Chess demonstrations contributed to an atmosphere of fun when almost 300 students welcomed the Chinese New Year as part of the Global Friendship Program for 2007.

Curious cardboard cut outs with human limbs protruding were on offer when Monash University Museum of Art (MUMA) presented Simone Slee's 'Be a Sculpture' project as part of Orientation Week activities on February 21 and 22.
