Funding kicks off new treatments
A $5.23 million research program that will combine stem cell therapies with a rebuilding of a key part of the immune system -- the thymus -- is being pursued at Monash following this week's announcement that it has been funded through the National Health and Medical Research Council's Programs scheme.

     
 

Micro-robots take off as ARC announces funding
Micro-robots that can 'swim' through the vascular and digestive systems of the human body are being developed at Monash University following last week's announcement that the project has been funded through the Australian Research Council's Discovery Projects scheme.

Internationally renowned film reviewer joins Monash
Internationally regarded film critic Dr Adrian Martin has been appointed Senior Research Fellow in Film and Television Studies, in Monash University's Faculty of Arts.

     
 

Vale Pierre Gorman
Dr Pierre Gorman, a former research fellow and lecturer in special education at Monash, passed away on 1 October -- his 82nd birthday.

Life Scientist of the Year award
